You’ll find out what you enjoy, and then you can move onto a specialist qualification or Apprenticeship in either plumbing, electrical, heating and ventilating or refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump systems.

You are encouraged to have a part-time job to gain experience of the world of work.
Possible bursary opportunity dependent on parent/carers income.
Learners must complete the following compulsory units to achieve the qualification.
These units are assessed by online tests and practical application.

106 Understand and demonstrate fundamental electrical installation operations
107 Understand and demonstrate fundamental heating and ventilating operations
108 Understand and demonstrate fundamental plumbing operations
Theory
201 Understand and carry out safe working practices in building services engineering
202 Understand how to apply environmental protection measures within building services engineering
203 Understand the roles and responsibilities and procedures in building services engineering
204 Understand how to apply scientific principles within Mechanical Engineering Services
